Lemon vodka is called for in this drink. Russian types are termed limonnaya and flavored with natural lemon essence, or there is a mixed citrus version made by the Swedish Absolut company called Citron. From The Ultimate Book of Cocktails by Stuart Walton Ingredients:
1 1/2 tablespoons lemon-flavored vodka, 1 measure |
1 1/2 tablespoons peach schnapps, 1 measure |
3 tablespoons unsweetened mandarin juice, 2 measures (from a can, if necessary) |
1 teaspoon grenadine, 1/4 measure |
Directions:
1. Shake all the ingredients well with ice, strain into a large cocktail glass. Garnish with a slice of lemon and a mandarin segment on a cocktail stick, and add a short straw.
