My father is always making his own homemade pizza, so I thought I must try it. This is what I came up with. His is still better, but I must say this one turned out pretty tasty!! ENJOY!!! It serves 4 as an appetizer or 2 for a main dish. Read more . . Ingredients:
1/2 of my bread machine pizza dough or store bought (i will post my pizza dough recipe on a separate page) |
1/2 cup tomato basil sauce |
1/2 cup mozzarella cheese |
1/4 cup goat cheese |
3 asparagus spears, sliced thin on an angle |
10 pimento stuffed manzanillo olives, sliced thin |
1/4 onion, sliced thin |
2 sun dried tomatoes (packed in oil) rinsed and sliced thin |
1/4 tsp minced garlic |
4 fresh basil leaves, sliced thin |
grated parmesan cheese |
drizzle olive oil |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400°F 2. roll out dough to about 1/4 inch thick 3. place it on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper 4. bake it in the oven for 5 minutes 5. take out of the oven 6. spread sauce over dough 7. add onion and garlic 8. next add mozzarella cheese 9. add asparagus, olives, tomatoes, 10. next sprinkle goat cheese all over 11. end with basil, grated Parmesan cheese and a drizzle of olive oil 12. bake in the oven for another 10 minutes. 13. Serve on it's own or with a fresh salad |
