Called Russian Toffee, as the recipe came from a Russian lady. Very easy to make. Ingredients:
1 (12 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk |
1/2 lb sugar |
1/4 lb butter |
Directions:
1. Put milk, butter and sugar into a saucepan and bring to a boil. 2. Stir constantly (to prevent sticking or burning) and cook gently until it becomes a caramel colour,it usually takes about 15 minutes. 3. Pour into greased dish to set. 4. When half cold, cut into pieces. 5. Eat when completely cooled down. |
