This recipe is from BC Cookie cookbook. This is another of our traditional Christmas cookies. Ingredients:
1 cup margarine or 1 cup butter, softened |
1/2 cup powdered sugar |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
2 1/4 cups flour |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
3/4 cup walnuts, finely chopped |
powdered sugar |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 400°F. 2. Mix margarine, 1/2 C powdered sugar, and the vanilla. 3. Stir in flour, salt, and nuts. 4. Shape dough into 1-inch balls. 5. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. 6. Bake until set, but not brown, 8 to 9 minutes. 7. Roll in powdered sugar while warm; cool. 8. Roll in powdered sugar again. |
