A Christmas Tradition Ingredients:
1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature |
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar |
2 teaspoons vanilla extract |
1 pinch salt |
2 cups all-purpose flour |
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda |
1 cup fine chopped pecans |
powdered sugar |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. 2. In a large bowl, beat together butter, 1/2 cup powder sugar, vanilla and salt until light and fluffy. 3. Gradually beat in flour and baking soda until well blended. 4. Stir in pecans. 5. Roll dough by teaspoonfuls into balls, place 1-1/2 inches apart, on ungreased baking sheets. 6. Bake 15 to 17 minutes or until edges begin to brown lightly. 7. Remove cookies from baking sheets, cool on racks. 8. While warm, toss in sifted powder sugar. 9. When cooled slightly with powder sugar. |
