                    I found this recipe in the Woman's Day Cooking Encyclopedia. . .one of those buy-a-volume-a-week things from the mid-Sixties. . .but these will never be out of date. Ingredients: 
                    
                        
                                                1 cup crushed vanilla wafer  |  
                                                1 cup confectioners' sugar  |  
                                                1 1/2 cups finely chopped pecans  |  
                                                2 tablespoons cocoa  |  
                                                2 tablespoons light corn syrup  |  
                                                1/4 cup dark rum  |  
                                                1/4 cup extra finely granulated sugar  |  
                                                
                     
                    Directions: 
                    
                        
                            
                                1. Mix crushed wafers, confectioner's sugar, 1 cup of the pecans and the cocoa. 2. Add the corn syrup and rum. 3. Mix well. 4. Roll into 1  balls. 5. Roll half in the granulated sugar and the other half in the remaining pecans.                              |
