Yummy breakfast porridge with raisins and rum flavor Ingredients:
1/2 cup old fashioned oats (or oat bran) |
3 tablespoons sultana raisins |
1/2 teaspoon rum extract |
1/4 teaspoon allspice |
sugar substitute, to taste |
Directions:
1. Place oats and raisins in a large bowl. 2. Cover with water and stir 3. Microwave for 3 minutes. 4. Add rum extract and sugar substitute 5. Stir and allow to cool for few minutes. 6. variations:. 7. use oat bran instead. 8. add walnuts. 9. add milk. 10. serve as muesli by adding milk to uncooked oats 11. add pineapple in stead of or in addition to raisins. |
