Ingredients:
1 cup(s) butter |
1 package(s) 8 oz. cream cheese softened |
1 teaspoon(s) vanilla extract |
2 cup(s) flour |
1 cup(s) sugar free preserves, strawberry or other |
1/2 cup(s) finely chopped almonds |
1/4 teaspoon(s) nutmeg |
Directions:
1. Beat together butter, cheese and vanilla until fluffy. Add flour, gradually beating until smooth. Chill at least 1 hour. Prepare fruit filling by combining preserves, almonds and nutmeg. Roll out one fourth of dough into a 12 inch circle. Spread with 1/4 of the fruit filling. Cut into 12 pie shaped wedges with pastry wheel or knife. Roll up, starting with wide end. Place on ungreased cookie sheets. Repeat with remaining dough and fillings. Bake at 400 degrees for 10-13 minutes, until golden brown. Remove from cookie sheets immediately. Makes 4 dozen cookies. |
