This is a dip from one of karen's family that lives in Canada... I have not made this..but Im going too as it sounds so delicious to me....If you like Ruben sandwiches... you would like this as well I think... Ingredients:
1 pound corned beef, chopped (lunch sandwich style) |
1 small sourkraut (drained) |
8 oz cream cheese, softened |
1 cup mayonnaise |
1 pound swiss cheese shredded |
1/2 cup 1000 island dressing |
1 can water chestnuts, drained and chopped fine |
Directions:
1. Combine all of the above ingredients. 2. Stuff into a large pumpernickle loaf thats been hollowed out. 3. Wrap well in foil and bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees. 4. Cut the hollowed center pieces to bite size and serve on a large platter with the chuncks surrounding the stuffed pumpernickle loaf. 5. You will probably need extra bread to go with this... |
