Round Steak WithTomato Gravy |

This is a different version of the basic steak and gravy, good flavor. Ingredients:
1 lb round steak, cut into 8 pieces |
1 tablespoon oil |
2 cups water |
8 ounces tomato sauce |
1 teaspoon cumin |
1 teaspoon garlic powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
2 tablespoons flour |
1/4 cup water |
Directions:
1. Brown steak in oil in dutch oven. 2. Mix water, tomato sauce and seasonings. 3. Pour over steak; bring to a boil. 4. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 1-1/2 hours. 5. Mix flour and water; stir into steak. 6. Bring to a boil, boil for 1 minute. 7. Serve with rice or mashed potatoes. |
