This is a lovely non-alcoholic punch that goes down a treat in hot weather. It is an essential part of our (Australian) Christmas get-togethers, and is often requested for birthdays, etc. Just as well it is non-alcoholic - we'd all be on the floor! (A little tweaking could make it alcoholic, but you have been warned.)
Ingredients:
1 liter orange juice
1 liter ginger ale
750 ml sparkling grape juice
1 cup passion fruit pulp
1 (400 g) can crushed pineapple
syrup
2 cups sugar
2 cups water
1 teaspoon mixed spice
1 teaspoon ginger
4 cloves
1/2 teaspoon salt
Directions:
1. Syrup: Boil all ingredients together for 15 minutes Allow to cool completely. Chill.
2. Combine syrup, fruit and juices in a punch bowl. Serve.
