This is a lovely non-alcoholic punch that goes down a treat in hot weather. It is an essential part of our (Australian) Christmas get-togethers, and is often requested for birthdays, etc. Just as well it is non-alcoholic - we'd all be on the floor! (A little tweaking could make it alcoholic, but you have been warned.) Ingredients:
1 liter orange juice |
1 liter ginger ale |
750 ml sparkling grape juice |
1 cup passion fruit pulp |
1 (400 g) can crushed pineapple |
syrup |
2 cups sugar |
2 cups water |
1 teaspoon mixed spice |
1 teaspoon ginger |
4 cloves |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
Directions:
1. Syrup: Boil all ingredients together for 15 minutes Allow to cool completely. Chill. 2. Combine syrup, fruit and juices in a punch bowl. Serve. |
