Romaine Salad With Balsamic Dressing |

I have been making this salad dressing since it came out in Bon Appetit in 1999. It is fast, easy and makes just the perfect amount Ingredients:
3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar |
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice |
1 tablespoon dijon mustard |
2 garlic cloves, minced |
1/3-1/2 cup olive oil |
Directions:
1. Whisk first 4 ingredients in medium bowl to blend. Gradually whisk in oil. 2. Season dressing to taste with salt and pepper. (Can be prepared 8 hours ahead. Cover and chill. 3. Let stand at room temperature 15 minutes; rewhisk before using.). |
