This recipe is our family favorite for sugar cookies. These roll and cut beautifully. The recipe makes a boat load of cookies. I use them for every holiday cookie. I will post a frosting recipe too. enjoy :) Ingredients:
4 sticks salted butter (1 lb.) no substitutes |
2 1/2 c sugar |
9 c all purpose flour |
2 t baking soda, dissolved in 8 t milk |
2 t vanilla |
4 large eggs, beaten |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350*F. Mix all together; chill dough. Roll out and cut forms of cookies desired. Bake for about 10-12 minutes. Depends on how thin you have rolled. The edges should be LIGHT golden brown. Freezes well. I have also kept in the refrigerator for several weeks. |
