Dutch pumpernickle Loaf.... This bread is Delicious ...Moist, and hearty fabulous with a cuppa . Its loaded with all things good as an added bonus....What could be better Ingredients:
1/4 cup molasses |
1/4 cup unpacked light brown sugar |
1 tsp salt |
2 tsp baking soda |
5 1/2 cups boiling water |
2 cups uncooked red river cereal |
4 cups all bran cereal original |
4 cups dark rye flour |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven 400* 2. Makes 2 loaves 3. combine first 4 ingredients 4. Stir in Boiling water 5. Combine rest of ingredients add to the Molasses Mixture 6. Spoon into pans either loaf pans or 2 tube pans 7. Cover with foil sprayed with cooking spray 8. Bake 1 hour turn off heat remove foil and allow to dry 10 minutes or more in oven.... |
