Sauce for ice cream or cake Ingredients:
1/2 cup water |
1 cup sugar |
2 tablespoons butter |
2 tablespoons light corn syrup |
3 tablespoons cocoa |
1/8 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract |
1/2 cup miniature marshmallow |
1/4 cup chopped toasted walnuts |
Directions:
1. Combine first 6 ingredients in a saucepan over low heat, stirring until sugar dissolves. 2. Boil for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally. 3. Remove pan from heat and cool to lukewarm. 4. Stir in vanilla extract. 5. Stir in marshmallows and nuts. 6. Serve lukewarm or cold. |
