19 1/2 ounces brownie mix |
1/2 cup oil |
1/4 cup water |
2 eggs |
1 cup pecans, chopped |
2 ounces unsweetened chocolate squares |
1/3 cup milk |
1/2 cup butter |
16 ounces powdered sugar |
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract |
Directions:
1. Mix the chocolate brownies according to package directions (i.e., mix package with 1/2 cup oil, 1/4 c water, and 2 eggs for 50 strokes). 2. Fold in the cup of chopped pecans into the batter. 3. Spread the batter mixture in a greased pan and bake for 25 minutes. 4. Remove from oven and sprinkle the miniature marshmallows over the hot brownies so the melt a bit. Cool. 5. In a heavy saucepan, melt the chocolate, milk, and butter together until combined (be sure to stir constantly). 6. Remove chocolate mixture from the heat and add the vanilla. 7. Add the powdered sugar a little at a time, mixing with a hand mixer on low speed, until the frosting is the desired consistency for spreading. 8. Spread over brownies with marshmallows. 9. Cool and cut into bars. |
