Another easy yummy candy to make. This recipe came from eagle brand sweetened condensed milk eons ago. Again times are approx. Ingredients:
1(12 oz) pkg. semi sweet chocolate chips |
1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk |
2 tbsp. butter or margarine |
2 cups unsalted dry roasted peanuts |
1 (10-/12 oz) pkg. of mini marshmallows (about 5-1/4 cups) |
Directions:
1. In a large bowl combine marshmallows and nuts. 2. In top of a double boiler, over boiling water, melt chips with milk and butter, remove from heat. 3. Fold chocolate mixture into marshmallow mixture. Spread in a wax paper lined 13x9x2 in baking pan. Chill 2 hours until firm. Remove from pan, peel off paper, cut into 1-1/2 to 2 inch squares. 4. Cover and store at room temperature. |
