I'm not really sure where this cake got it's name. It's my husband's favorite cake for his birthday. It tastes as though you slaved for hours. Ingredients:
1 box butter recipe chocolate cake mix |
1 small package vanilla instant pudding |
1 cup vegetable oil |
3 eggs |
1 1/4 cup milk |
frosting |
1-8oz package cream cheese |
1 cup powdered sugar |
1 cup sugar |
12 oz cool whip |
5 hershey bars with almonds (coarsely chopped) |
1 cup chopped pecans |
Directions:
1. Mix together the first 5 ingredients. Bake in 3 layer pans. 350 degrees for 25 minutes. 2. Cool completely. 3. For the frosting: Cream together the cream cheese, powdered sugar and granulated sugar. 4. Blend together with spoon Cool Whip, Hershey bars and pecans. 5. Fold Cool Whip mixture into cream cheese mixture. 6. DO NOT BEAT. 7. Keep refrigerated. |
