These go well over low-fat ice cream or pound cake. Ingredients:
4 plums, halved |
cooking spray |
1/2 cup orange juice |
1/4 cup packed brown sugar |
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
1/8 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg |
1/8 teaspoon ground cumin |
1/8 teaspoon ground cardamom |
1 tablespoon slivered almonds, toasted |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 450°. 2. Place plum halves, cut sides up, in an 11 x 7-inch baking dish coated with cooking spray. Combine orange juice, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cumin, and cardamom, and stir well. Drizzle orange juice mixture over plums. Bake at 450° for 20 minutes. Top with toasted almonds. |
