Roasted Red Pepper Hummus |

This hummus is so easy to make, you'll wonder why you buy store bought. Throw it all in the FP and give it a whirl and you're done. So tasty, a little spicy, great with toasted pita wedges or corn chips. Ingredients:
1 (15 ounces) can garbanzo beans, drained |
1 (6 ounces) jar roasted red peppers |
3 tbs lemon juice |
1 1/2 tbs tahini or toasted sesame oil, either is fine |
1 clove garlic |
1/2 tsp ground cumin |
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (more if you like) |
1/4 tsp salt |
splash of lime juice, to taste |
Directions:
1. Put all of your ingredients in a food processor or blender, and pulse or blend until smooth. 2. Transfer to a serving bowl and serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the fridge. |
