Easy appetizer like a brushetta Ingredients:
18 slices of italian bread 1/2 inch thick |
2 large tomatoes diced |
1 jar ( 7 ounces) roasted red bell peppers,.drained and chopped |
1/4 cup fresh chopped basil leaves |
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/3 cup shredded mozzarella cheese |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 375 degreess F. place bread on cookie sheet, bake about 5 minutes or until toasted. 2. mix tomatoes, bell peppers,basil, vinegar, and salt 3. spread tomato mixture on the bread. top each slice with about 1 teaspoon of the cheese 4. bake about 5 minutes or until cheese is melted. 5. serve hot 6. makes 18 |
