This is a really easy recipe to make. I fyou like chick peas and peppers you will love this delight. Enjoy Ingredients:
vegetable oil spray |
1 medium red bell pepper |
2 tablespoons sesame seeds |
16 ounce can chick peas rinsed and drained |
1/4 cup water |
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice |
1 medium clove garlic minced |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/8 teaspoon pepper |
Directions:
1. Preheat broiler on high then spray broiling pan and rack with vegetable oil spray. 2. Broil bell pepper 4” from heat on broiling rack for 3 minutes on each side. 3. Seal bell pepper in an airtight plastic bag or put in a bowl and cover with plastic wrap. 4. Let cool for 10 minutes or until cool enough to handle. 5. Peel with fingers or a sharp paring knife then remove and discard stem, ribs and seeds. 6. Blot bell pepper with a paper towel then dice bell pepper. 7. While pepper cools dry-roast sesame seeds in a small nonstick skillet over medium 4 minutes. 8. Shake pan occasionally then put sesame seeds in a blender and process 30 seconds. 9. Add bell pepper and remaining ingredients then puree and serve at room temperature. |
