Roasted Garlic Sesame Rice |

Side dish good with grilled lemon, garlic salmon Ingredients:
2 tablespoons sesame seeds |
2 tablespoons butter or margarine |
1 cup uncooked basmati rice |
1 cup chopped celery |
1/2 cup chopped onion |
2 teaspoons roasted garlic paste |
2-1/2 cups chicken broth or may substitute same quantity of hot water and use vegeta for seasoning |
Directions:
1. In a medium skillet, saute sesame seeds in butter for 2-3 minutes or until golden. Add rice, celery and onion; saute until the rice is browned. Add chicken broth or dissolve Vegeta in hot water; pour over the rice mixture and allow to come to a boil. Cover and cook on low heat until rice is tender about 10 to 20 minutes depending on how firm you like your rice. |
