I picked up this recipe from my mom. I love crunchy salty food, and with my wedding diet these tasty crunchy snack fulfills my cravings. Seasonings can be altered but I just included my basics. I have made them sweet in the past and they are just as yummy. Ingredients:
1 can garbanzo beans |
2 tsp salt |
1 tsp cracked black pepper |
1 1/2 tsp garlic powder |
1 1/2 tsp onion powder |
1 tsp cayenne pepper |
1 tsp paprika |
olive oil |
non-stick cooking spray |
Directions:
1. 1. Open and drain garbanzo beans. Rinse with water and spread on a paper towel. Pat beans until dry. 2. 2. Cover baking sheet with tin foil and spray with non-stick spray. Spread beans across the sheet and toss with olive oil and spices. 3. 3. Put beans in a 300 degree oven. Every ten minutes take beans out and rotate them to ensure even cooking. Repeat this step 3 to 4 times. After beans have become golden brown increase the temperature to 375 and bake for another 5 to 10 minutes, until crispy. 4. 4. Cool and enjoy. |
