Roast Beef with Mushroom & Onions |

My family raved over this hearty, simple to prepare recipe, which is a morphed version of Oven Roast Beef (Recipezaar #11661). Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs boneless sirloin tip roast |
1/2 package onion and mushroom soup mix |
1 can cream of mushroom soup |
1/2 cup red wine |
2 cups whole mushrooms |
1 cup white pearl onion |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 325. 2. Remove stems from mushrooms. 3. Peel outer layer from pearl onions. 4. Rub the meat with the dry soup mix. 5. Place in a covered roasting pan. 6. Add mushroom soup, wine, mushrooms and onions. 7. Bake covered for 1 1/2 hours. 8. Serve over egg noodles or mashed potatoes. |
