Roast Beef and Fontina Panini |

Paula Deen Ingredients:
2 tablespoons butter |
1 small onion, thinly sliced |
2 tablespoons whole grain mustard |
1/2 loaf ciabatta, split lengthwise |
1/3 lb thinly sliced deli roast beef |
4 slices bacon, cooked |
3/4 cup shredded fontina cheese |
Directions:
1. Preheat panini grill. 2. In a medium skillet, melt butter over medium heat. 3. Add onion, and cook for 10-12 minutes or until very tender, stirring often. 4. Increase heat to med-high, and cook, stirring constantly, until onion is caramel colored; set aside. 5. Spread mustard over cut sides of bread. 6. Top bottom half of loaf with roast beef, bacon, caramelized onion, and shredded cheese; cover with top half of loaf. 7. Place sandwich on panini grill. 8. Close lid, and grill for 6-10 minutes or until bread is toasted and cheese is melted. 9. Cut in half and serve immediately. |
