Easy and delicious brisket recipe for Hanukkah or any occasion! Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups ketchup |
1 cup ginger ale |
1 envelope dry onion soup mix |
1 cup brown sugar |
1/4 cup red wine |
1 (3 pound) beef brisket (first cut, or lean flat portion) |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). 2. Mix together the ketchup, ginger ale, dry onion soup mix, brown sugar, and red wine in a bowl, and stir until the brown sugar dissolves. Place the brisket into a disposable aluminum pan, and pour sauce over the brisket. Seal the pan with a cover of aluminum foil. 3. Bake in the preheated oven until the meat is very tender, about 4 hours. |
