This old recipe was a favorite at Casa del Sol, in Sarasota, Florida. Can be made with other flavors of cake/pudding. Cheese sinks into center of cake making a creamy filling. Ingredients:
1 lemon cake mix |
1 (3 1/2 ounce) package lemon pudding mix |
4 large eggs |
1 cup water |
3/4 cup oil |
24 ounces ricotta cheese |
5 eggs |
1/2 cup sugar |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350. 2. Mix first five ingredients and pour into 13 x 9 cake pan sprayed with PAM. 3. Mix cheese with eggs, sugar and vanilla and pour into center of cake batter. 4. Bake for 1 hour. |
