This is my husband's recipe for a 1 1/2 lb loaf of Pannettone. We like to give to friends & family during the holiday season. Makes great french toast or serve warm with a little butter! Ingredients:
3/4 cup warm water |
1/4 cup butter |
2 eggs |
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract |
3 1/4 cups bread flour |
2 tbsp sugar |
2 tbsp dry powdered milk |
1 1/2 tsp salt |
2 tsp bread machine yeast |
1/4 cup dried mixed fruit (dates, cranberries) |
1/4 cup rum soaked raisins |
2 tbsp slivered almonds |
2 tbsp orange zest |
Directions:
1. Place all ingredients in order =EXCEPT FOR CHOPPED FRUIT, RAISINS, ALMONDS & ORANGE ZEST= into bread machine. 2. Select sweet or basic/white bread cycle and use the medium or light crust color setting. 3. Add chopped fruit, raisins, almonds & orange zest when the raisin or nut signal starts OR 5-10 minutes before the last kneading cycle ends. 4. Makes great french toast or serve warm with a little butter. Enjoy! |
