Quick and easy Penne Pasta. A rich pasta that always gets great reviews. My family's favorite meal! Try serving it with garlic toast and a tossed green salad and your meal is complete! Ingredients:
12 ounces penne pasta |
1 (3.5 ounce) link italian sausage, sliced |
1 onion, chopped |
2 cloves garlic, minced |
1 (14.5 ounce) can stewed tomatoes |
1/2 cup half-and-half |
2 tablespoons shredded cheddar cheese |
Directions:
1. In a large pot cook penne pasta in boiling salted water until al dente. Drain well. 2. Meanwhile, remove casings from sausage. In a large skillet cook the sliced Italian sausage until brown. Drain excess grease with paper towels. Add chopped onion, minced garlic, and stewed tomatoes to sausage skillet. Bring mixture to a boil. Reduce heat and add the half-n-half cream. Cook until heated through. 3. In a large bowl toss the sausage sauce with cooked and drained pasta. Serve with shredded Cheddar cheese. |
