One of my F-A-V-O-U-R-I-T-E-S!!!!!!!!!!! Ingredients:
3 cups basmati rice, washed and drained |
1 large onion, chopped |
3 cinnamon sticks |
4 cardamoms |
5 tablespoons ghee |
5 cups coconut milk |
8 cloves |
1 teaspoon turmeric powder |
salt |
Directions:
1. Pour ghee in a pan. 2. Add cloves, cardamoms and cinnamon. 3. Stir-fry for a minute. 4. Add onion and saute till transparent and lightly brown for 5 minutes. 5. Add the remaining ingredients. 6. Bring to a boil. 7. Lower flame. 8. Cover. 9. Cook till all the coconut milk is absorbed by the rice. 10. Serve hot with plain low-fat yogurt. |
