This recipe is from an old box of Hershey's Unsweetened Baking Chocolate. I am putting it here for safekeeping...and to share! Suggestions for dipping are pound cake pieces, marshmallows, cherries, grapes, orange segments, pineapple chunks, strawberries and other fresh fruit slices. Enjoy! (NOTE: This chocolate came in one ounce bars. Check your package to make certain that you put in the correct amount of chocolate.) Ingredients:
3 ounces of hershey's unsweetened baking chocolate, broken into pieces |
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk (do not use evaporated milk.) |
1/4 cup marshmallow creme |
1 tablespoon milk |
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract |
Directions:
1. Place chocolate and sweetened condensed milk in medium microwave safe bowl. 2. Microwave on high for 1 minute. Stir. 3. Microwave additional 30 seconds at a time, stirring after each heating, until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth when stirred. 4. Blend in marshmallow creme and milk. 5. Pour into fondue pot or chafing dish; stir in vanilla just before serving. 6. NOTE: May be made on top of stove using a double boiler, stirring chocolate and sweetened condensed milk constantly. Proceed as with microwave directions. |
