This is a very rich fudge-like brownie. You can add a variety of toppings of your choice. Ingredients:
2/3 cup butter |
1 1/4 cups sugar |
1/2 cup light corn syrup |
2 eggs |
1 1/4 cups flour |
1/2 cup baking cocoa |
1/2 tsp salt |
3 tbsp milk |
2 cups chopped walnuts |
ganache |
1 cup heavy whipping cream |
8 squares (1 ounce each) semisweet chocolate, chopped |
optional toppings, mint andes candies, raspberries and fresh mint, caramel topping and whipped cream |
Directions:
1. In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar, 2. Add corn syrup;mix well. 3. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. 4. Combine flour, cocoa and salt; add to creamed mixture alternatley with milk. 5. Fold in walnuts. 6. Spread into a greased 10 inch springform pan. 7. Bake at 325* for 55-60 min. 8. Cool on a wire rack. 9. For Ganache, in a saucepan, bring cream to a boil. 10. Remove from the heat; stir in chocolate until melted. 11. Cool complelety. 12. Remove sides of springform pan. 13. Place a wire rack over waxed paper;set brownie on rack. 14. Pour ganache over brownie, spread over top and let drip down sides. 15. Let stand until set. 16. Cut into wedges, garnish with desired toppings. 17. Store in the refrigerator. |
