Another Mennonite recipe. Ingredients:
6 cups water |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 cup rice |
3 cups milk |
1/3 cup sugar |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
Directions:
1. Bring 6 cups water to boil. Add salt and rice. Stir well. 2. Cook until rice is done, 15 minutes. Drain. 3. Add milk. Heat and simmer slowly until well blended, 15 minutes. 4. Serve in bowls with cinnamon sugar. Add cold milk if desired. |
