This is from my Mom's recipes. I have not tried this. You will need a waffle maker. Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups flour |
1 tablespoon sugar |
2 teaspoons baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
3 egg yolks |
2 cups milk |
1/2 cup butter |
1 cup rice, cooked and cooled |
3 egg whites |
Directions:
1. Sift flour, sugar, baking powder and salt together. 2. Set aside. 3. Beat egg yolks until thick. 4. Slowly add milk, mixing well. 5. Blend in butter and rice. 6. Add to dry ingredients. 7. Mix only until batter is blended. 8. Beat egg whites until stiff. 9. Fold into batter. 10. Cook as a waffle. |
