A very simple rice recipe. Adapted from a recipe by Ralph Harrison Ingredients:
1 tablespoon butter |
6 ounces mushrooms, sliced |
1 cup long grain white rice |
1 (10 1/2 ounce) can low sodium beef broth |
1 (10 1/2 ounce) can condensed french onion soup |
2 tablespoons butter, cut in small cubes |
Directions:
1. Melt butter over medium heat in an oven safe saucepan. Add mushrooms and saute until soft. 2. Turn off heat. Add rice, beef broth and condensed French onion soup (do not dilute). Scatter butter over the top. Cover tightly and bake at 375°F for 1 hour. Stir, then let stand covered 5 minutes before serving. |
