This is rice with a twist, delicious and looks good too.
Ingredients:
1 cup uncooked long grain rice
2 1/4 cups water
2 to 3 tablespoons onion or vegetable soup mix
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups frozen corn or peas (or mixed vegetables)
Directions:
1. Combine the rice, water, soup mix and salt.
2. Bring to a boil.
3. Add the vegetables; return to a boil.
4. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
5. Cook until rice and vegtables are tender. Yeild: 4-6 servings.
