Maltese dish that grandpa brought over with him! Ingredients:
3 cups cooked rice |
1 lb ground beef |
2 (8 ounce) cans tomato sauce |
2 eggs |
parsley |
3 garlic cloves |
1 small onion |
salt and pepper |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350*. Brown ground beef in sautee pan until fully cooked. Add chopped garlic and onion and cook 3 minutes, stirring frequently. Mix together rice, ground beef with onion and garlic, and tomato sauce into a casserole dish. Add salt and pepper to taste. Smooth over top of mixture with a spoon until even. Pour beaten eggs over top of the mixture and garnish with parsley. Bake at 350* for about 45 minutes or until egg is cooked. Serve warm. |
