This recipe is packed with tons of flavor. Tastes similar to the ricearoni sides you can buy. The first time I made this hubby could not stop eating it. Ingredients:
1 cup basmati rice |
1 cup pearl barley |
1/4 cup margarine |
8 green onions (sliced) |
2 (10 ounce) cans consomme (diluted with equal water) |
3/4 cup mushroom (sliced) |
Directions:
1. Brown rice, barley in butter until golden. 2. Add green onions, consomme soup, water and mushrooms. 3. Cook in covered dutch oven for 30 minutes 4. Fluff up and serve. |
