Was planning on cooking up some Rib Eyes tonight and it was mentioned in a group that I participate in for someone doing Salmon to do an orange bourbon glaze...Thanks, Notyourmomma...Got me to thinking about how I could incorporate some Honey Bourbon I have into my rib eyes and this is what I came up with. Read more ....Even took pictures!!!! Ingredients:
2 2 lb. bone in rib eyes |
salt and pepper to taste |
2 large onions, sliced |
1/4 cup butter |
olive oil |
1/4 cup plus 2 tbls. honey bourbon |
Directions:
1. Melt butter and 2 tsp. olive oil in skillet over medium low heat 2. Add onions and cook, stirring often until onions become light brown in color....About 20 minutes 3. Stir in honey bourbon and cook another 3-4 minutes 4. Season steaks with salt and pepper 5. Heat grill pan to high and cook 3-4 minutes per side...More if medium rare isn't wanted. 6. Rest for 5 minutes |
