A favorite of mine growing up. This is great served hot or cold. You can also serve with some whipped cream on top Ingredients:
3 cups rhubarb |
1/2 cup shortening |
1 1/2 cups sugar |
1 cup buttermilk |
1 egg |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
2 cups flour |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/2 cup sugar |
1/2-1 cup nuts, chopped |
Directions:
1. Prepare a 9x13 pan by spraying with Pam srpay. 2. Preheat oven to 350' Mix cake ingredients together and pour into pan. 3. Mix together the topping ingredients and sprinkle over the cake mix. 4. Bake for 40-60 minutes. |
