Another recipe that does not state the amount of jars to use. So I guessed. Ingredients:
2 lbs coarsely chopped rhubarb |
1 cup chopped onion |
1 cup raisins |
2 cups brown sugar |
1/2 cup cider vinegar |
1 teaspoon salt |
3/4 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger |
1/2 teaspoon ground allspice |
Directions:
1. Combine all the ingredients in a large saucepan. 2. Heat gently, stirring constantly, until the sugar is dissolved. 3. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer over a medium heat for about 1/2 hour or until the mixture is thick. Stir frequently. 4. Pour into warm sterilized jars and seal. 5. May be eaten immediately. |
