This is another cake to save for when Rhubarb comes on. Ingredients:
1 1/2 c. brown sugar |
1/2 c. shortening |
1 egg |
1 c. sour milk |
2 c. flour |
1 1/2 c. raw chopped rhubarb |
1 tsp. soda |
1 tsp. salt |
Directions:
1. Mix in order given-Pour into greased 9 x 13 x 2 or 2 8 inch square pans. 2. Top with 1/2 cup white sugar, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 1/2 cup chopped nuts. 3. Bake 30 to 40 minutes at 350 degrees. |
