My mother was full blooded Japanese and she came up with this recipe. It is very delicious!! We never really measured the ingredients but I will try and do the best that I can. It is a tedious job but well worth it! I am dedicating this recipe in memory of her. God Bless you Mom...I miss you terribly. Ingredients:
2 lbs lean ground beef |
1 large onion (chopped fine) |
1 egg |
1/4 cup parsley flakes |
3 tablespoons kikkoman soy sauce |
2 garlic cloves (minced) |
1 (8 ounce) package wonton wrappers |
2 cups rice (steamed) |
1/2 inch canola oil, in frying pan |
1 ounce water |
Directions:
1. Mix the first 6 ingredients in bowl. 2. Then use a heaping teaspoon of mixture and place in the middle of a won ton wrap. 3. Fold at opposite ends to the middle and place a drop of water to stick in place. It will be in the shape of a square. You can then flatten it a bit. 4. Continue until all the mixture is gone. 5. Heat oil in a frying pan and fry for 2 minutes on each side. 6. Drain on paper towels. 7. Put some soy sauce in a small bowl and dip won ton in it. 8. Serve with hot steamed rice or fried rice. |
