From Madison Middle School. Ingredients:
1 large head of cabbage, finely chopped |
1 -2 small onion, finely chopped |
3 -4 stalks celery, finely chopped |
1 bell pepper, finely chopped |
1 cup sugar |
1 cup vinegar |
1 teaspoon white mustard seeds |
1 teaspoon turmeric |
salt and pepper |
Directions:
1. Combine cabbage, onion, celery, bell pepper, salt and pepper. Heat sugar vinegar, mustard seed and turmeric to boiling point. Pour over cabbage mixture. Cover and refrigerate. Will keep for 1 week in refrigerator. |
