Refreshing Strawberry Pretzel Squares |

What a delightful dessert - You can substitute frozen whole strawberries, sliced for the fresh strawberries if you like - 1 600g package - Stir in the jelly powders , along with the cold water. Refrigerate 10-15 minutes or until thickened; spoon over cream cheese layer. Continue as directed. Ingredients:
2 cups pretzels, finely crushed |
1/2 cup sugar, divided |
2/3 cup margarine, melted |
1.5 (250 g) packages philadelphia light brick cream cheese spread, softened |
2 tablespoons milk |
1 cup cool whip, light thawed |
2 cups boiling water |
2 (10 g) packages jello no sugar added strawberry jelly powder |
1 1/2 cups cold water |
4 cups fresh strawberries, sliced |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to degrees F. 2. Mix pretzels, 1/4 cup sugar, and margarine; press onto bottom of 13x9-inch pan. Bake 10 minutes. Cool. 3. Beat cream cheese spread, remaining sugar and milk with mixer until well blended. Stir in Cool Whip with whisk; spread onto crust. Refrigerate until ready to use. 4. Add boiling to jelly powders in large bowl; stir 2 minutes until completely dissolved. Stir in cold water. Refrigerate 1 1/2 hours or until thickened. Stir in strawberries, spoon over cream cheese layer. Refrigerate 3 hours or until firm. |
