This is a great tasting chili. Even people who are not fond of chili LOVE this. Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef |
1 teaspoon basil |
2 teaspoons oregano |
5 tablespoons chili powder |
1/2 teaspoon black pepper |
4 tablespoons sugar |
1 teaspoon garlic, chopped fine |
48 ounces tomato juice, 1 lg. can |
6 ounces tomato paste, 1 sm. can |
15 ounces red kidney beans |
Directions:
1. Brown ground beef in pan, stir while it is cooking. This will make the meat a nice, fine texture. 2. Drain the meat leaving about 2 teaspoons of juice in the meat mixture. 3. Next add all the spices and the sugar. Cook, stirring, for 3 minute {the fat juice will mix and blend the flavor better}. 4. Now add the tomato juice, tomato paste and kidney beans, simmer for about 1 hour. |
