This is a great tasting chili. Even people who are not fond of chili LOVE this.
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1 teaspoon basil
2 teaspoons oregano
5 tablespoons chili powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
4 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon garlic, chopped fine
48 ounces tomato juice, 1 lg. can
6 ounces tomato paste, 1 sm. can
15 ounces red kidney beans
Directions:
1. Brown ground beef in pan, stir while it is cooking. This will make the meat a nice, fine texture.
2. Drain the meat leaving about 2 teaspoons of juice in the meat mixture.
3. Next add all the spices and the sugar. Cook, stirring, for 3 minute {the fat juice will mix and blend the flavor better}.
4. Now add the tomato juice, tomato paste and kidney beans, simmer for about 1 hour.
