This is a strawberry-vodka cocktail topped with a splash of white wine. It is based on the drink served at Ludacris' restaurant Straits Atlanta Ingredients:
3 lbs strawberries, hulled and chopped |
2/3 cup evaporated unbleached cane sugar (or regular sugar) |
1/2 cup vodka |
2 tablespoons triple sec |
1/4 cup lime juice |
1/2 cup white wine |
ice |
Directions:
1. In a bowl, toss strawberries with sugar and let stand until strawberries release their juices, stirring occasionally.
2. In blender, combine half of strawberries, half vodka, half triple sec, half lime juice, and 1 cup of ice. Puree. Pour into a pitcher and repeat. Fill 10 collins glasses halfway with ice. Pour cocktail into the glasses, top each with about 1/2 tabspoon of Riesling or other white and serve.
