A quick, easy sauce that enhances any steak. Ingredients:
3 tablespoons butter |
1 tablespoon shallot, minced |
1/2 cup dry red wine |
1/2 cup beef gravy or 1/2 cup beef gravy |
Directions:
1. Heat 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet over medium high heat. 2. Add the shallots and cook briefly. 3. Add the red wine and cook 30 seconds until reduced somewhat. 4. Add the brown gravy or beef gravy and reduce by 1/3. 5. Once boiling remove from heat and stir in remaining 2 tablespoons butter. |
