1. T butter
2. lg. garlic cloves
3. lg. shallots (2/3 c)
4. t. thyme
5. T. flour
6. c. beef broth
7. c. dry red wine
8. Melt 4 T. butter over med. high heat. Add garlic, shallots, and thyme, saute until tender about 3 min. Add broth and wine. Boil until thickens and reduces to 1 1/4 c. (about 12 min.)
